Welcome to our blog

Welcome to our blog 🙂 first of all I have to say, I feel very blessed to have such an amazing team. We’ve all come from different areas of the media industry, from advertising, film/ TV production, post production, web development, even the building industry.

Comics, computer games, table top and roleplay games have been a huge influence in my life.  From when I first dipped my toes in to D&D at the age of twelve, to when White Wolf publishing appeared on the scene with Werewolf the Apocalypse and Vampire the Masquerade and finally when Onyx Path Publishing rose to fame with, Aeon Trinity, Aberrant, Adventure and Scion (our first series to be developed for TV).

Role-play games brought people together, the laughs, the heroic moments, the adventure had my friends and myself hooked on great story telling and strange and wonderful snacks. I guess that’s one of the reasons why I chose to work in the film and TV industry.  In troubled times in my real life, roleplay with my friends allowed me to feel part of something, even when I felt alone and down in the real world, it gave me hope, allowed me to escape to different worlds, run with my pack or take down Titans!

I’ve got to meet a lot of actors, directors and producers in my career so far. I’ve worked on some great projects with different companies either as a writer or lead on a project. when I first started out in model making and SFX I had my first taste of being on set and I was hooked! But, put me in front of a game developer, creature effects and table top Sculptor, I get all tongue tied and very excited.

So you can imagine, meeting Richard Thomas from Onyx Path Publishing for the first time was probably one of the most exciting times of my life!  Two hours on our first call had me chewing his ear off about the adventures my friends and I had in Scions and Trinity and the countless photos of models and scenery I had made for the games we played which I couldn’t resist sending to him.

To be honest, I’m shocked he didn’t block me there and then!  😉 But luckily for me, he’s one of the coolest people I’ve ever met and really has a passion which is shared across his company.

So I’m really chuffed that the first TV series we are going to develop and bring to life is Scion, and honoured that Onyx Path Publishing have placed their faith in us and will be joining us on this adventure.

Thanks to you for reading this blog and welcome to Jenkins and Tate.  😉
